Sounds like

"Lord, I want to hear Your voice more clearly. It feels like I don't always hear You. Can You help me listen better?" was a whispered prayer at 3 a.m., when she felt like a radio, struggling to tune into Your frequency, only picking up static from the open air.

And then, You answered in the early morning hour.

In a dream, she felt someone gently hold her face, working on her left ear. As she turned, a woman placed a large lump of earwax into her hand. Embarrassed, she cringed at the sight, her pride fully aware of the "onlookers" who saw it too.

"Give me your other ear," she said. "We need to clean it out too."

But in that moment, she hesitated. She couldn't let her continue, not with everyone watching. Her heart cried for help, yet her fear of humility woke her out of this dream and held her back from complete restoration.

Clearly "Our King is always too eager to restore us, if only our pride won't stand in the way of our full recovery?" she muttered as we dissected her dream.

Still it reminded me of "onlookers". When Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a mountain and were transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, His clothes as white as light. That moment changed their lives.

In heaven or on earth, the "spectators" are the fortunate ones. These fortunate ones, witnessing Your true love and renewal —how You answer our calls and transforms our hearts eternally.

Sounds like...An irresistible motive to surrender our ego emerges.

Ever changing landscapes in Namibian desert, this picture taken near the Brandberg(Burning mountain).

Sound in the arms of the One who Loves us First.
