Bible Names

 Good Morning girlfriend 😃😃😃

I had an interesting dream last night... 

In it, my husband and I were taking a ride with two of his friends. I can’t remember who they were, but at one point, my husband challenged them to name all the books of the Bible. They struggled, and I thought, "Let me give it a try." But I could only recall up until Numbers. My husband then told me I should go and learn the names. I felt a strong desire to do so, as it’s the most important book in my life, and I should know its contents by heart. 🤔

"So what do you think your "Maker and Husband"(Is 54:5) is trying to say to you?" I asked her.

I think the Lord may be speaking to me about my recent bible study efforts... I do a year long bible study where you read the entire bible in a year. I must be honest I have neglected it a bit, plus I don't really do quality bible study. Eeeeeeeee, maybe I should remember one Christian is not better than another, we all have our own issues and short comings, we are all on a journey with our First Love? OR  The books I mentioned are law books, I might be legalistic? the message came through.

Seeking wisdom and trusting the outcome, I returned a voice note to her, factoring eternity into this equation:

"I'm not entirely sure what this dream is pointing to, but my opinion is. If you should choose to spend eternity with The One who loves you First, then it will be very clever to know the names of the people He loves, and those who love Him, and those you will be spending eternity with. It might also be wise to understand where they lived, the political and socio-economic backgrounds at that time shaping their hearts, and, most importantly, what they conveyed about our King' heart in those circumstances."

This voice note brought so much insight to me... I shared this deeper and realistic realization of the characters and people in the Bible— outweighing the watered-down versions, past down to me through religion, to my sister.

And she excitedly pointed out that Numbers plays a crucial role in this dream too. She explained why Number' is such a special book, as Our King insisted to camp at the center of His children. Yes, "the Tent in the middle!

Imagine that—the God of the universe, who could choose to "glamp" anywhere or stay in a luxury hotel, yet He insists on residing in the middle of His people, in the center of our city, in the center of my being. 

Oh, how wonderful You are, Almighty King of time and creation, the One who loves us first. You are the perfect Example, dwelling in the center for all to follow.

 

Only in the arm of the One who loves us First will life be a love song.
